First Baptist Jenks needed to expand their children's facilities to complete a promise to their members. When they built their original church, they promised a children's play area with slides from the 2nd floor to the 1st floor. Due to value engineering, they weren't able to provide that on the original building, but 5 years later they were ready to hire TriArch to help them achieve their vision.
Adding over 12,000 sqft in classroom space and a large 4,000 sqft play area, the church wanted to create a theme that reminded the kids about the story of Zacchaeus in the Bible. Zacchaeus climbed a tree so that he could look upon Jesus as He walked by, and the church wanted to build a tree inside that told that story while also being a conduit for 2 slides that went from the 2nd to ground floor.
The game space was also equipped with a real airplane suspended from the ceiling and biblical interactive video games that were projected onto the floor.
